This very fine 2011 John Walker Lolo Special is in excellent original condition.  It is lightly built by the talented Mr Walker while he borrowed our original 1936 Gibson L-00 to use as a template.
As usual, genius does as it must, and John Walker began to offer these close “exact replica” models of his “Lolo Creek” guitars as a “Special”. These guitars have every attention to detail closely followed. The “V” neck profile is perfect, the overall feel is great, and the tonal response is actually better than many “good” vintage L-00’s (or L-0’s), that you might play. There seems to be more sure of a shock wave of reverberation when you play any string, there is better balance, and each string seems to keep its true character better as you travel from the first position on up the fingerboard.
Ok… now for the particulars:

Hot Hide Glue construction with cloth side staves. Select Honduran Mahogany back, sides and neck. Adirondack Red Spruce top. Beautiful Red-Gold sunburst that is reminiscent of Gibson sunbursts from mid-to-late 1930’s. Ebony peghead overlay has JWalker script logo inlaid in pearl at top and Ebony truss-rod cover near nut. Antique’d 3-on-a-plate relic tuners with cream buttons. Unbleached bone nut. Radiused Madagascar fingerboard has medium pearl dot position markers. Madagascar rectangular bridge with cut-thru unbleached bone intonated saddle. Fire-striped celluloid pickguard.  Ebony pins. Fret wear is minimal.

This is a very fine guitar! In 2011 when this guitar was built, it cost $4500. We have a new one on order right now with John Walker that’ll cost $5350 when delivered…
So, an obvious good deal is this slightly used guitar at only $3750 w/ OHC.

The sound, set-up and playability are great.
