Dreadnaught Centennial
This 2016 Martin D-35 Centennial is in really good condition and sounds big and punchy. Mahogany neck with Rosewood peghead veneer. Martin logo decal at top. Grover Rotomatic tuners.
Bone nut. Ebony fingerboard with graduated pearl dot inlays. Fingerboard bound with white single binding.
Back of neck has “C” profile. The heel cap has white plate and multiple thin black accent lines. Strap button professionally installed on neck heel.
The Rosewood back and sides are very, very clean. The finish is vibrant and only shows some light soft shirt/shirtsleeves touching while playing the guitar. The “white/blk/wh/blk/white” bindings look close to new condition – oh, and nowhere has loose binding had to be reglued.
The high grade Sitka Spruce top looks fabulous and is nice and flat. But it has very light dings sprinkled around the top that you may miss, even up close, if you are looking at it from different angles.
This guitar has a full sound with enunciation. Treble strings sing out and bass is articulate. It would be a good guitar for a serious flatpicker or a country band singer.

*The Dreadnaught Centennial means 2016 was 100th year anniversary of year 1916, when the Ditson Co. commissioned Martin to build the world’s first guitars we call the Dreadnaught, after the large wooden warships of the same title.
