This 2018 Gibson J-45 Vintage is a really close re-issue of the old venerable “Banner” J-45’s from 1942 – 1945. Even the sound has a close signature to a couple of old original ones we have right now.
This one is truly in exceptional condition, with almost no signs of prior ownership. Frets barely show any evidence of playing. No bangs, dings, cracks, etc.

Slope-shoulder “Jumbo” with choice Mahogany back, sides and neck. “Torrefied” Adirondack Red Spruce top. Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Old style Gibson script logo decal at top of peghead overlay, with famous banner decal below. Kluson Deluxe re-issue tuners with cream buttons. Bone nut and saddle. Large pearl dot inlays in fingerboard. Tortoise plastic pickguard. Rosewood “reverse belly” bridge. Boxed bone saddle. Bone bridge pins. Antiqued cream bindings around top and back edges of body.

The finish is very thin. The neck profile is a generous “V” that is quite rounded… its almost a big “C” shape. The neck definitely has a vintage feel without being a “club”.
This guitar has good low action, great set-up, and a huge “open” powerful sound.

This “Vintage” J–45 is as good for J-45’s as a Martin Authentic D-18 is for D-18’s. Wonderful voice, projection and tone.
