Bright Amber Strad Copy with repairs by Ed Glass.
This is a 4/4 Strad copy by an un unknown maker, unknown year and it has been heavily repaired. It is in a bright amber finish. Ebony key and dot on the neck heel. Ebony fittings with fine tuner tail piece. One piece back.
Repairs include a refinish, and a whole lot of crack repairs on the top. The top is pretty great, though, and this violin is a good projector of tone. It has been repaired and set up well and sounds great. New setup with strings, bridge, and sound post. The reason for all the cracks is that the top was removed and was subject to environmental damage. It was repaired by Ed Glass in Katy TX in 2022 and is now in good, stable condition.
