This c.1924 Larson Brothers Maurer guitar sounds great. It has a Spruce top, Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, and a sharp “V” profile Cypress neck.

The blackened slotted peghead features a pearl star at the top. Original 3-on-a-plate open-back tuners with ivoroid buttons. Bone nut. The Ebony fingerboard features M.O.P dot, clover, and diamond inlays. The “V” profile Cypress neck is in great shape with nearly no dings or scratches. Old polite headstock break that has been professionally repaired. Cream heelcap.

The Spruce top has several old crack repairs, and some spread out dings and scratches from player wear. Interesting wooden marquetry purfling before the cream binding on the top edge. The binding on the top edge looks to have been reglued in a few areas. The same marquetry can be found on the soundhole rosette. Inner soundhole is bound with the same binding found throughout this instrument. New excellent copy Ebony bridge, with original star inlays on each side. Bone saddle and old Ebony pins with colorful pearl dots. The two-piece Brazilian Rosewood back is separated by a wooden marquetry backstrip, and the back edge of the Brazilian back is bound with cream binding. The binding on the back edge has been reglued. looks to be a few crack repairs on the back, along with some dings and scratches from player wear. Original Ebony end pin with an abalone dot.

This C. 1924 Larson Brothers Maurer guitar is an excellent sounding instrument and it is setup nicely. Comes with a newer hard case.
