1-11/16″ width at nut
This C. 1980 Yamaha L-25AT has a Spruce top, Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, and a Mahogany neck. This is a great sounding larger body Yamaha in good playing condition. It has a tighter waist than a standard dreadnought, with a slighty wider lower bout.
The Rosewood peghead veneer has a pearloid “Yamaha” logo at the top, and truss rod access above the bone nut. Gold Yamaha “made in Japan” tuners with large gold buttons. Top edge of the peghead is bound, with five black and white alternating lines of purfling. Brazilian Rosewood heelcap and Nickel strap button installed. The Mahogany neck is a nice comfortable rounded “V” profile. The neck has a few dings but they aren’t very noticeable while playing. Ebony fingerboard features oval mother of pearl inlays and black side dot position markers on the bass side of the fingerboard binding. Frets have been replaced and are in great shape.
The Spruce top is a nice amber color. It has a good amount of player wear on the top but no cracks. Ebony bridge has a bone saddle and Ebony bridge pins with M.O.P dots. Black plastic pickguard. Interesting soundhole rosette. Some wear on the soundhole from a pick or fingers while playing. Marquetry purfling before the binding on the top edge. D-35 style 3-piece Brazilian Rosewood back with interesting marquetry.
Comes with a hard case.
