Old Growth Sitka Top
This brand-new Collings 00-1 14-fret is a really great guitar. It has an excellent old growth Sitka Spruce top with high grade Mahogany back, sides, and neck. Ebony fingerboard and bridge.
The old growth Sitka top helps this Collings sound like it is older.
The peghead veneer features Collings logo inlaid in pearl at the top. Nickel Waverly open-back tuners with Nickel 3-lobed buttons. Bone nut. Ebony fingerboard features small pearl dot inlays at the 5th, 7th, and 9th frets. Side dot position markers on the bass side of the Ebony fingerboard. Rounded “V” profile Mahogany neck feels fantastic. Black heelcap.
The old growth Sitka Spruce top is beautiful, with a smattering of bearclaw figure around the edges of the top. Small tortoise pickguard. Ebony bridge has Ebony pins with pearl dots and a bone saddle. Four lines of purfling before the tortoise binding on the top edge. Mahogany back and sides are very nice. Two-piece Mahogany back is separated by a thin backstrip. Tortoise binding on the back edge. Black end wedge has an Ebony end pin with a pearl dot.
This brand-new Collings 00-1 14-fret is already a full sounding and balanced instrument. Comes with the original Collings hard case.
