This new Collings 00-1 is built in many ways like a brand new 1936 oo-18. I mean that if you could travel back in time to 1936 and went into a store to look at brand new 00-18’s, they would be very close to what Collings builds today. Honduran Mahogany back, sides and neck with high grade Sitka top. * When ordering new 00 and 0-sized guitars, we almost always order them with Sitka (or European) Spruce. This is done so that the guitar can open-up quicker and give warmth of tone quicker. Some small body guitars take several years for Adirondack Red Spruce to open-up.
Ebony peghead overlay has Collings pearl logo at the top. Nickel Waverly tuners. 1-3/4″ bone nut. Radiused Gabon Ebony fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. Ebony Bridge with boxed intonated bone saddle. Ebony pins. Tortoise celluloid pickguard. The top is select Sitka Spruce with high grade Mahogany back, sides and neck.
Comes with excellent TKL 5-ply AVS case.
