This new Paulson OM/000 has some beautiful Malaysian Blackwood for the back and sides, a nice Redwood top, and a three-piece Mahogany neck.
The Blackwood peghead overlay has a matching truss rod cover above the bone nut. Black Gotoh tuners. “C” profile three-piece Mahogany neck. Gold EVO frets. The Malaysian Blackwood fingerboard has Blackwood strip markers and pearl side dot position markers on the bass side of the Blackwood fingerboard binding. Blackwood heelcap.
The Redwood top features a clear plastic pickguard, and a Malaysian Blackwood soundhole rosette with black/white purfling. The Blackwood bridge has a bone saddle and black bridge pins with pearl dots. Blackwood binding on the top edge of the Redwood top. The Malaysian Blackwood back and sides are gorgeous. As other handmade builders have done from time to time, Mr. Paulson has utilized both the heartwood and the sapwood for the interesting figure, color and contrast. The center of the back has a strip of the sapwood portion of the Blackwood, while the rest is the darker Blackwood. This is a really nice contrast and it almost acts like a decorative backstrip. The sides also show this heartwood/sapwood Blackwood binding on the back edge of the Malaysian blackwood back. Triangular Blackwood end wedge.
This new Paulson OM/000 is a nice playing guitar made with great woods. Comes with a hard case.
