Mahogany body and neck with Sitka Spruce top. Solid peghead with 12-fret neck joint and 25.4″ long scale.
Wide 1 13/16″ width at nut, with 2 5/16″ pin spacing at bridge. Rounded (Venetian) cutaway.
Entire guitar is bound with tortoise celluloid bindings. Top has tortoise outer bindings with 4-ply wooded purfling inside the binding. Back is bound with single tortoise. Headstock and fingerboard bound with tortoise outer binding with inside Ivoroid purfling as accent line. Beautiful soundhole rosette. Tortoise pickguard. Ebony peghead overlay with Collings logo at top. Bone nut. Ebony fingerboard with graduated dot inlays. Ebony pyramid bridge with boxed intonated bone saddle. Ebony bridge pins and endpin with pearl dot inlay. Nickel Waverly tuners with Ebony buttons. Back of peghead shows old-style diamond volute. Ebony heelcap and endwedge. Decorative wooden marquetry strip down center of guitar back.
