Maple neck and pot. 3/8″ wooden rim.
This is a good banjo for oldtime playing or 3-finger style. The banjo has enough mass and concentrated tone to push notes out away from it, but done in a pleasing manner. Maple rim is multiple bound at the bottom, inside and outside of rim. Tubaphone style tonering. Interesting inlays in fingerboard. Last several frets are scalloped away at end of fingerboard. Chrome hardware, including bracket band for the shoes, no-knot tailpiece, 2-band tuners, two co-rods, and old-time style armrest.
This banjo sounds very good, especially for the price… Comes with OHC.
