Exceptional Condition. Very few signs of player wear on the banjo. Frets have never been milled, no discoloration on the gold plating, no head wear.
Highly figured Maple resonator with sunburst finish and multiple bindings on top, back and sides. Tension hoop, tone ring, flange, armrest and tailpiece are all engraved with armrest being especially beautiful and complex. Thumbscrews have pearl inlays. Highly figured Maple neck. Flat Ebony fingerboard with “Hearts & Flowers” inlays in pearl, and multiple bindings. Ebony peghead overlay with solid pearl binding, Gibson logo and inlays. Solid pearl truss rod cover with “Flint Hill Special” engraving. Waverly Gold tuners with Schaller 5th, all with very nice matching pearl buttons. Railroad spikes professionally installed at A, B, C Positions.
This is a really great sounding banjo. The sound is powerful and balanced at the same time, with great sustain and tonal character. Comes with original Gibson hardshell case.
