Perfect Frets & Set-Up

This is a hot guitar! Just back from new fret work, neck angle correction and full professional set-up. Yes, there are spots of player wear thru the finish on back of neck, wear thru the paint on the back corner and on the top where fingers touch when playing. But overall, this one is in great shape and looks wonderful. Original 3-on-a-plate tuners with matching cream buttons.
For a player, the condition is “Exceptional”… mostly because of the smooth playing, great fresh frets, exact neck set and great response of tone from the instrument.

This is a rare one with “Duco Brown” crackle finish. The brown paint would be enough… but National also used a false ageing process to cause the paint to migrate into an “ice crystal” look, similar to crazing in modern glass art. Single National Cone & Biscuit Bridge. It has the coverplate with “bird feet” cut-outs. The tailpiece is “correct”, but appears to be newer.

The Mahogany neck has a 14-fret joint and a slotted headstock. “National Duolian” is stamped into the peghead face. Serial number and patent info are stamped into the very top of peghead peak, along with “made in USA”.
The nut appears to be original. Grained Ivoroid dot inlays in fingerboard.
The neck profile is a full rounded “V” shape.

Comes with its original hard case, also in good shape.
