This 1962 Gretsch Double Anniversary 6118 is in such great shape it looks almost like a newer prouduction model at first glace. The only telling sign it is not a newer guitar is the slightly shrunken and slightly cracked, binding on the bass side of the heel. Great tone and playability.
The darkened peghead features an MOP “Gretsch” logo at the top with a metal patch below it that reads “Anniversary Model”, and truss-rod access by the bone nut. Original open-back Nickel tuners with oval buttons. The “C” profile neck is in good shaoe with some minor dings from player wear or a capo. The Rosewood fingerboard has half circle MOP inlays that also act as the side dot position markers.
The top show only the lightest signs of player wear. The back has some swirling in the finish that appears to be from a belt, and some other light signs of wear, but the back and sides are in good shape overall. All original 1962 parts.
Comes with the original hard case that’s also in amazing newish condition.
