This 1974 Fender Stratocaster is a very nice guitar in excellent playing condition. Great looking 3-tone sunburst finish over alder body with minor player wear. This guitar has some nice resonance even when played with no amp. Maple headstock is in great shape with some really nice flamed Maple figure seen on the face and the back. Two string trees. The original fender Nickel tuners are in good working order. Hardware appears to be original. The volume potentiometer may have been replaced. The Maple neck is in nice shape with some player wear, but no wear through the fretboard lacquer. “Bullet” style truss rod. Bone nut, which may have been replaced at one point. Black dot inlays in center of fingerboard and black side dot position markers on the bass side of the Maple neck.
This ’74 Strat came to us with a non original neck pickup. The bridge and middle pickup were original with red stamp. We replaced the neck pickup with an original 1974 Strat pickup with black stamp.
There is one ding in the center of the neck where it seems to have been placed a little too hard against a desk or table. There are a couple of dings through the finish on the back, and several finish chips elsewhere on the body. The frets have some slight player wear but can be easily milled and polished away.
