This 2004 Gibson J-185 is in great condition with only a few signs it was previously owned. It has a Spruce top, Maple back and sides, and a 3-piece Maple neck.
The bound peghead has a blackened peghead overlay with “Gibson” inlaid at the top in Mother of Pearl and a crown M.O.P inlay in the center. Gold Grover tuners. Truss rod access before the bone nut. The three-piece Maple neck is separated by two Mahogany stringers. Ebony fiberboard with M.O.P parallelogram inlays and black dot position markers on the bass side of the cream fingerboard binding. Cream heelcap.
The Spruce top is in great shape with nearly no wear to mention. Ebony bridge with bone pins and a bone saddle. Abalone soundhole rosette and tortoise plastic pickguard. Top is bound with cream binding. Maple back and sides are in good condition despite an area on the center seam all the way down the back where a leather strap bled though and caused an orangish color to show. This orangish color can also be found along the bottom portion of the neck by the heel. Prefix Plus pickup control on the bass side of the Maple sides.
Comes with the original hard case.
