This 2007 Dudenbostel F-5 is a great mandolin in great playing condition. Spruce top with beautifully figured Maple back, sides, and sharp “V” profile neck.
Since very early in Lynn Dudenbostel’s history of making mandolins and guitars, these F-5’s have been recognized as having some of the finest tone of the top echelon of mandolins.

The entire mandolin is bound with grained ivoroid bindings that show a black accent line along the sides. Some people refer to this as a “side bound” mandolin.

The Ebony peghead overlay features a pearl and abalone pre-war style Flowerpot inlay in the center, and “Dudenbostel” pearl logo inlaid at the top. Truss rod access is just above the bone nut. Silver Waverly four-on-a-plate tuners with solid pearl buttons.  with Dudenbostel logo engraved in the lid. The peghead is bound in ivoroid. The pronounced “V” profile Maple neck has loads of Maple figure and is in good shape with nice coloration. Very slight wear on the back of the neck in the first position. The Ebony fingerboard has “Paris Eye” pearl dot inlays, and black side dot position markers on the bass side of the ivoroid fingerboard binding.

The Spruce top has some usual evidence of player wear, but does not have any cracks or crack repairs. Two-piece Ebony adjustable bride, and Silver James tailpiece, with “Dudenbostel” engraved in the lid. The two-piece Maple back is in nice shape with a general amount of player wear. Again, the colors and figure are very nice to look at. The Maple sides have some spread out dings and scratches. Ebony end pin installed. the Top and Back are bound in grained ivoroid bindings.

This 2007 Dudenbostel F-5 is a great instrument with excellent tone and playability. The sound could be described as perfection with power. Comes with a molded hard case.
