This 2014 OME NorthStar Open Back Banjo is in great original shape, with an upgraded 4-star professional hide head. Made with beautiful American Black Walnut on the rim and the neck.
Antique hardware, including the K&H tuners. The 5 tuners all have matching iridescent brown-amber buttons.
The Ebony peghead overlay has tasteful floral inlays of abalone and pearl with star in the center. Bone nut. Ebony fingerboard shows thin lighter wood strip between fingerboard and neck wood. The fingerboard has small pearl dots interspersed between large star-like inlays at 5th and 12th fret and again at the scalloped area at extreme end of fingerboard. This scallop is the popular S-curve scallop that is designed to still give you access to the 17th fret under treble strings while bass side of fingerboard is scalloped away.

The rim has Walnut veneer on outside and inside to match the neck and is capped at the bottom with an Ebony cap and bound inside and outside with tortoise binding.  Antique’d brass hardware including small bar under the head that acts as a tone ring. This tone ring shows a skirt along upper outside of rim. Single dowel stick construction.

This is a great banjo that hardly shows any signs of use or wear. Comes with its original hard case.
