1-5/8″ width at nut / Gold Sparkle finish
This c.1997 ESP Eclipse is a fun guitar in nice playing shape. The blackened peghead features “esp” inlaid at the top, and an “Eclipse” gold script in the center. Interesting shape truss rod cover above the bone nut. Nickel Gotoh tuners with pearloid buttons. Rosewood fingerboard features pearloid “open book” inlays, with a mother of pearl 12th fret inlay that has “ESP” carved into the center. Black side dot position markers on the bass side of the cream fingerboard binding. Shallow “C” profile neck is in good shape with a few small nicks.
Gold Sparkle Les Paul style body is in great shape. This guitar sounds a bit like an ES-335 because of the semi-hollow nature of the body. The one stylized f-hole on bass side offers a window into the interior. Massive solid wood block remains from neck joint to the endpin, with big true hollow area in the bass side.
The guitar has two humbucking p/u’s, a tune-a-matic adjustable bridge, and trapeze tailpiece. All of these work together, along with the to get a very satisfying characteristic tone.
Comes with a hard case.
