Description
New condition / SN: 008
1-3/8″ width at nut
This new Blues Hardware octave mandolin is a great sounding instrument. It has a Spruce top, and African Mahogany back, sides, and neck. The Walnut peghead overlay has the Blues Hardware logo at the top and a black truss rod cover before the bone nut. Double acting truss rod and Nickel Grover 409-FN tuners with pearloid buttons. The Rosewood fingerboard has white line inlays that also act as the side position markers. Really comfortable rounded “V” profile African Mahogany neck.
The Spruce top is really nice with two elliptical sound ports acting as f-holes. It has a handmade walnut pickguard, a Jatoba adjustable bridge, and a custom Rosewood tailpiece. There is Maple binding on the top edge of the Spruce top. Really nice African Mahogany back and sides with a partial maple heelcap and Maple binding on the back edge.
This is a great sounding octave from our neighbor Tom Sheehy. It is set up well and ready to be played.
