Description
New condition / 1-11/32″ width at nut
Claro Walnut back and sides / Cedar top / Mahogany neck
This new Blues Hardware Mandola has some unique features, as well as good tone and playability. Claro Walnut back and sides, Cedar top, and a Mahogany neck.
The Walnut peghead overlay features the Blues Hardware logo at the top. Four-on-a-plate Nickel tuners with ivoroid buttons. Bone nut. The Coco Bolo fingerboard has thin white line inlays on the bass side of the fingerboard that also act as the side position markers. The rounded “V” profile Mahogany neck is nice and full.
The Cedar top has some lovely coloration and grain. It has a standard soundhole, as well as four cutout lines on the bass side of the top where a typical scroll would be. These cutouts almost resemble claw marks. Walnut armrest and pickguard, two-piece adjustable Coco bolo bridge, and a custom brass machined tailpiece with the Blues Hardware logo engraved in the center. Maple binding on the top edge of the top. The Claro Walnut back and sides are a nice aesthetic addition to the rest of this instrument. The dark greyish/brown color to the Walnut really works well with the brighter top and neck. Maple binding on the back edge of the Walnut back.
This new Blues Hardware Mandola has nice tone, especially for being a new instrument that hasn’t been played and opened up yet. Comes with a slightly oversized gig bag.
