This Ovation MCS-148 Acoustic/Electric mandolin is in good shape with minimal wear. Spruce top, Mahogany “C” profile neck, and Lyrachord back and sides.
The peghead features the “Ovation” decal at the top, and gold four-on-a-plate open-back tuners with pearloid buttons. The “C” profile Mahogany neck has one tiny ding that cannot be felt while playing. The Rosewood fingerboard has small abalone dot inlays and cream side dot position markers.
The reddish sunburst Spruce top has two wooden leaves with various sized holes on each side of the upper bout. These leaves act as a double pickguard and sound ports. The top has some light signs of player wear. The back and sides of this mandolin are made out a material that Ovation calls “Lyrachord”. It is made from layers of glass filament and bonding resin. The OP-24+ pickup control is on the bass side of the lyrachord sides. Input jack is next to the end pin on the butt.
This Ovation MCS-148 mandolin has some light signs of use, but it is in good playing condition. Comes with a chipboard case.
