Exc condition. Thin body acoustic banjo with 3-ply rim and full flathead tonering… then you start turning on the 4 separate pickups… Woah!
Built of solid Mahogany body, this banjo is terrific to look at and marvel at all the complex problem-solving Mr Prucha has done to make this instrument. Stylized peghead with normal banjo peg tuners. Radiused Ebony fingerboard with cut diamond inlays. Shubb 5th string capo mounted on side of fingerboard.
These Elbans are serious machines. Each one is custom built, so almost no two are exactly alike. Some have one or two or even three pickups… but this one has FOUR pickups. Two humbucking – neck and bridge positions. One under head magnetic P/U (like Gerald Jones’ design), and one built into the Maple and Ebony bridge.
This is a very sophisticated set-up, with dedicated circuit board that all pickups plug into. And, each pickup has its own on/off toggle. The humbucking p/u’s have separate trim pots and height adjustments. Master tone and volume pots.
Comes with OHC.
