Maple banjo with 12″ pot and Dobson tonering. Built similar to banjos of the mid and late 1800’s. Square “paddle” peghead. Large heel, and generous neck profile. 18 hooks and nuts.
Excellent 2-pc. maple neck with ebony stringer. Ebony peghead overlay, bone nut. Gabon ebony fingerboard with “star and diamond” inlay and S-curve scallop after 15th fret. Antiqued brass hardware. Maple rim is capped at bottom, and has tortoise binding on outer edge. Dowel stick construction. Plate on dowel stick reads “Rickard Banjos Custom”. Gotoh antiqued tuners, all with matching black buttons. No knot tailpiece.
These are very popular because of the Dobson ring and because of Rickard’s excellent construction. Comes with original hard case.
