This Shanti Travel guitar is a very well-designed and well-built handmade guitar that is fun to play, and it has a much fuller voice than you would expect. It has a Sitka Spruce top with Mahogany back, sides, and neck.
It is designed for normal guitar tuning OR tuned as a “Terz” guitar… This means tune everything up a third. To tune the guitar, just put the Low E string up to G#, then tune across just like you normally would, (Hint: the “A” string now will be a C#). This Terz tuning is worth trying out, as it sounds fantastic!

The Ebony peghead overlay features the Shanti signature abalone dove inlay at the top. Nickel Gotoh 510 (1:18) tuners with Ebony buttons. Bone nut. Ebony fingerboard features abalone dot inlays and abalone side dot position markers on the bass side of the fingerboard. The “D” profile Mahogany neck is a nice full neck, unlike some travel guitars with dainty feeling necks. Nickel strap button installed.

The Sitka Spruce top is nice. It has a clear plastic pickguard. Single ring soundhole rosette made up of seven black and white alternating lines. The Ebony Bridge features a bone saddle, and Ebony bridge pins with M.O.P dots. Mahogany sides feature an elliptical soundport on each side of the upper bout. These ports allow for the player to hear the instrument more clearly, and it is a nice aesthetic touch to be able to see the bracing on the inside. Two-piece Mahogany back is separated by a “zipper” backstrip. The zipper continues to the bottom of the guitar acting as the endwedge. Rosewood endpin with a pearl dot installed.

This Shanti Travel guitar really packs a punch for its size. Just listening to this instrument without looking at it, you might think it is a larger guitar.

Comes with a gig bag.
