Large Soundhole
This 2000 Martin HD-28 Large Soundhole Vintage Series is a powerful flatpicking dreadnought. It has a full “V” profile Mahogany neck, and Adirondack Spruce top, and Indian Rosewood back and sides.
The Rosewood peghead overlay features the “Martin & Co. EST. 1833” decal at the top. Nickel Waverly tuners with lobed buttons. Bone nut. The ivoroid bound Ebony fingerboard has black side dot position markers. The Vintage profile neck is full but comfortable, with a minimal amount of wear. Nickel strap button installed. Ivoroid heelcap.
The Adirondack Spruce top has some lovely grain with minimal spread out dings and scratches. Ebony bridge has Ebony bridge pins with abalone dots, and a bone saddle. Interesting flame pickguard. Herringbone purfling before the ivoroid binding on the top edge. The Indian Rosewood back shows scratch marks and some light spread out dings. Ivoroid binding on the back edge, and an ivoroid endwedge.
This 2000 Martin HD-28 LSV is a fantastic flatpicking dreadnought. It is in good shape and is ready to be played on stage. Comes with the original hard case.
