This 2003 Collings D2H is a very powerful guitar in great shape. Select Sitka Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, and a rounded “V” profile neck with a 1-3/4″ width at the nut. This Collings has a lot of character and it is in nice playing shape.

The Rosewood peghead overlay features the Collings logo inlay at the top. Nickel Waverly tuners with nickel lobed buttons. Bone nut. The rounded “V” profile Mahogany neck is in great shape with no dings or scratches that can be felt while playing. Diamond volute and ivoroid heelcap. Ebony fingerboard has small MOP cut diamond inlays and side dot position markers on the bass side of the fingerboard.

The Spruce top is in good shape with a few small dings. No cracks or previous repairs. Ebony bridge has Ebony pins with pearl dots, and a bone intonated saddle. Tortoise pickguard. The Spruce top is bound with grained ivoroid outer binding with wooden herringbone purfling inside the binding. Indian Rosewood back and sides are in great shape with a few minor stray dings/scratches. No cracks or previous crack repairs on the back and sides. The beautiful Rosewood back has ivoroid binding with black/white accent line seen along the inside edge. The back center seam has wooden “zipper” marquetry strip inlaid along center line. Ivoroid end wedge w/ Ebony end pin.

This 2003 Collings D2H has a ton of tone and projection, and the playability is great. It has definitely opened up over the years. Comes with the original hard case.
