Heritage Model / Varnish
Ancient Red Spruce Top
One-pc Sugar Maple Back
1-1/8″ Nut / One Owner

This 2007 Heiden F-101 Heritage Model is voiced to perfection. It is made from nice old, cured Sugar Maple for the back, sides and neck and 120+ year old Adirondack Red Spruce top. Besides this old wood, there are high grade options all around: Satin Gold Waverly tuning machines with Ebony buttons, Ebony Radiused fingerboard with short scallop, Ebony abbreviated pickguard, Engraved Satin Gold James tailpiece, One-Pc figured Maple back, Hoffee carbon fiber hard case.
Tone bar bracing.

The Red-Brown color under the Varnish finish is quite nice. This entire mandolin is bound with multiple bindings, so that you see an accent line on each side of the bindings. The outer bindings are dark. The back of neck has a “speed neck” for faster play with less stickiness. Back of the neck shows a slightly rounded “Vee” profile. Currently has Thomastic flatwound strings on it. Two-pc adjustable Ebony bridge. Currently has a Weber “wood nymph” overtone suppressor mounted between the bridge and tailpiece. The Satin Gold James tailpiece is a delight to use while restringing. Ebony end pin. The Maple figure in the one-pc back is quite nice.

This mandolin is a joy to play and a joy to hear… Lots of nuanced tone, with beautiful depth and fullness. This is the sort of rare mandolin that fills a room with beautiful tone even when picking very lightly.

This 2007 Heiden F-101 Heritage Model mandolin is in great shape with only the barest signs of prior ownership. The frets are in perfect shape, having been freshly milled and polished. There are some minor touches here and there, but no repairs or chips or gouges anywhere. This instrument was very precious to its owner.

Comes in a Hoffee Carbon Fiber HC.
