This 2008 Collings D-1A V is a fantastic dreadnought. Light signs of player wear. Adirondack Spruce top with Mahogany back, sides, and rounded “V” profile neck. It has been played enough to open-up and sound great, but it has not been played enough to have major player wear.
Ebony headstock with gold MOP “Collings” inlay at the top. Bone Nut. Nickel Waverly tuners. The Ebony fingerboard has graduated pearl dot inlays. The rounded “V” Mahogany neck has no wear to mention. Nickel strap button installed.
The Adirondack Spruce top is in great shape with minor signs of player wear. The bass side of the lower bout has a “V” shaped indentation in the finish that can only be seen when light reflects off of it in a certain way. It does not go though the finish. Ebony bridge has Ebony pins with pearl dots, and a bone saddle. Tortoise pickguard. Tortoise binding on the top edge. The Mahogany back and sides are great shape with only very minor spread out dings and scratches to the finish. Ebony end wedge with Ebony end pin installed. Tortoise binding on the back edge of the body.
This 2008 Collings D-1A Varnish is a powerhouse dreadnought that has been well cared for. Comes with the original hard case.
