Very nice figured burled “crotch” walnut resonator. Straight-grain American Black Walnut neck. Ebony radiused fingerboard with abalone inlays and jumbo frets. Abalone Nechville logo at top of peghead with abalone flourish in center of peghead. Abalone truss rod cover. Five Gotoh tuners with ebony buttons. Very nice tortoise multiple bindings along neck, top edge and back edge of resonator, and heel cap. The tortoiseshell in this binding is “lit up” by a layer of white underneath which reflects light back through for you to see a brighter version of the tortoise. Comes with Nechville flathead tone ring on the patented Nechville heli-mount system. Nickel plated hardware with beautiful Ebony armrest.
This banjo is in such great condition, it’s hard to believe that it has been owned and held. There is no player wear. No problems. Again- this banjo is in brand new condition selling for substantially less than a new one.
The sound is very quick but not shrill. Good resonance and sound. Comes with original hard shell case.
