Highly Figured Koa. The Koa is really nice and the entire instrument is mostly Koa. Super tight 3-D figure on face and back of peghead. Super tight figure striping in the back and heel cap. The sides and top are also nicely figured with tight lines. Koa figured 3-pc neck, with flamed Maple stringer in center. Flamed Maple bindings, with top edge multiple wood purfling. End wedge is a beautiful picture frame of maple around an exquisite rectangle of figured Koa. Soundhole rosette is similar, with flamed Maple framing figured Koa. Ebony bridge with cut-thru saddle. Brown Ebony fingerboard dot inlays and figured Koa grafted in after last fret. Nickel Gotoh mini tuners. Bone nut.
The sound is clear as a bell and very strong. This is an exceptionally well made hand-made instrument, from right here in Missoula, Montana.
