Highly engraved, artful maple plectrum banjo built in the mid-1920’s.

Exc (-) condition. Serial number: 80950. All original hardware intact. Maple banjo. Pot size: 10 15/16″.
The photos speak for themselves. This banjo is loaded with beautiful work. Elaborate engraved pearl inlays in peghead, back of peghead, fingerbard, and heel cap. Full finished pot with wood marketry at bottom of pot. Tortoise binding on inside and outside of pot. Gold plating. Elaborate multi-layering of wood under fingerboard, peghead overlay, back of peghead overlay, and heelcap. 5-Star tuners with solid pearl buttons. Pie-wedge resonator with decorative scrimshaw on the sides and flamed maple pie wedges in back.
